One of the memories I loved about Del was one time he came up north to see us. Del and Carol wanted to see Bronte country named after the famous Bronte Sisters, half way there was a big bang so obviously we stopped to investigate. After examining the engine we discovered that fan blade had broken. Del answered "its not done too bad i glued it before we set of from Kent" and then through it away!
